Towing

A friend has asked for help towing a 1980's era Bronco.

First, do you think my 1991 Suburban (1500) would have any problems towing this tank?

Second of all, where can you rent a dolly to tow such a beast. I guess U-haul's two wheel dolly is not rated to tow something that heavy.

You should have no problem towing it. Check the Bronco's owner's manual regarding towing if it is an automatic. Short distances are usually OK, but I had a Mustang towed and the tow company burnt the tranny up.

We used a Uhual dolly to tow a 3/4 burban from austin to houston and it had no problems.

Uhaul also rents out full-tow flatbed trailers for towing vehicles completley off the ground. They SHOULD fit the Bronco and even Suburbans with a little creative strapping. (read your own chains....)
