08 remote question

i was wondering.
my 08 burd did not come with a auto start function. would i just need to get the remote or is there more to it?
on some cars (not sure about GM) the features are there, just have to program the remotes.

There is a lot more to it than just a remote. We've had a couple of Outlooks delivered without remote start and have added it on. That was before I worked there so I don't know exactly what all is invloved. Check with your dealer service department, they should know what you need.

Dealer has to reprogram the vehicle's computer for the remote start to work. They have to get a code from GM in order to do that.
