ok.
so money's tight but i can't not have my ipod.
does anyone know if a 2007 STOCK headunit (with aux input) will fit and work in my 2005?

Which vehicle do you have? It depends on whether or not the model year has changed much between then. If it's a different platform, then most likely it won't work.
I'd suggest checking out PAC or other companies for adapters that'll work with your current HU and give you the ipod or aux inputs you're looking for. Much cheaper and easier.

I know that my '04 doesn't have the "aux" input needed for using "i-pod". I was told that if your radio has "XM" capacity you can get the interface from after market supplier. I use the cassette interface to play my i-pod through the radio. Works well for me, good luck!

I just installed this today it had two RCA inputs

I got an stereo Y-splitter and i'm able to plug anything into this sucker
the unit itself is plug and play install ..got it from crutchfield.com
under aux inputs

Is it compatible with Equinox? I checked on crutchfield.com, it looks like it's not, at least for 05, 06 model.

Unfortunatley it will not work, the software inside the radio is newer than what is in the car, it wouldn't recognize it/support it and probably wouldn't even power up. Maybe even self distruct ( not really) :rofl:

I have a 2005 nox. i am also interested in adding a mp3 connection as well as hooking up my sirius directly.
