Gas mileage question.

Hey! just wondering if anyone on here has a 4.3l v6 silverado, and wondering what they get for gas mileage?

Happen to have one of those nifty 3/4 350 engines in my 97 Chevy. It has only 73,000 miles and is as new. I have the 5 speed transmission and 5th is really a heck of an overdrive. I consistently get over 22 MPG with some in town and hiway driving. I love this truck! If i drive on secondary hiways, I have gotten over 24 MPG with it.

I had the 4.3 V6 in my Jimmy and I got 10-15 mpgs, it hurt filling that up and watching the needle drop

had a 98 s10 blazer with a 4.3 and it would get 14 at best. I don't see how putting that engine in a full size pickup could improve the gas mileage at all, let alone by 80%!!
