Attached are pics of the Alpine overhead DVD player we installed last night. I'd like to say it was easy but I can't. However, I can't say that it was difficult either. My only grab is that I wish it came in aluminum to match the trim. Oh well...my kids don't care what color it is!!!

Looks good! I want to do the same in my 'burb for the kids on long trips. How much did the unit run you, if you don't mind my asking?

This one was $699 on Crutchfield. There are some around $500 but nobody had anything bad to say about the Alpine so I went with it.

No...didn't get the extra headset just yet but I fully intend to. The picture quality is awesome! I haven't been able to find an adapter for the FM antenna to complete the install on the modulator, however, the sound quality is still great.
So far- No complaints!

Appreciate the link! That's the modulator which I have. I just need the adapter to connect the antenna to the rear of the head unit. I appreciate you taking the time to look that up though.

Nope! No glare problems to speak. We have a Samsung flat screen TV in the house and the picture quality is about the same as the Alpine with the living room windows open.
...& of course the picture is excellent at night.

I am a newbie when it comes to installing car electronics. How difficult was this to install? Is there anywhere that I can get instructions or a list of required wiring or parts.
I want to use my ipod to play video as well. Is this possible?
Thanks for the help.

looks good. I am just working out exactly how I want to setup a GPS system into my burban with DVD in the rear for the kids. This helps.

I couldn't tell you if this will work with your ibod. I can tell you that it does have an RCA jack that is easily accessible if that is how the ipod connects.
Wiring is very simple if your only using the FM Modulator. If you are running other aux items to the unit then you'll need RCA wiring. If you are only using the FM Modulator then your good to go.
