Dynamat

Well, I'm thinking about dynmatting both my Suburban and my Saturn. Both vehicles transmit road noise very bad. I think that noise deadening will be very beneficial. In my car I have to crank the radio load just to hear it. :grrrrrr: For both vehicles, I plan to Dynamat the entire thing with Dynamat Extreme. I've also heard that you can use Peel&Seal to do the same thing for much less price, but I've also heard warning that the Peel&Seal will start melting and create goopy piles of tar. Anyone have any wisdom on this? Dynamat seems to be VERY expensive for what it is. Thanks for the help

In Louisiana you don't want your stuff melting. I had dynamat extreme in my old camaro and loved it. I got it off ebay and saved a ton.

I've been doing a lot of research on the subject, and I've found that while Dynamat is known to stick very well (especially better than the competitors in warm temperatures if you live in Louisiana), there are other products that offer a better ^2ft/$ ratio. Look in to Fatmat/Rattle Trap (Fatmat is for road noise, Rattle Trap is double thickness to enhance high performance stereos). Other brands include Second Skin, Brown Bread, and Damplifier.
