Finally finished working on this custom grille guard. I had build threads on a few other sites, just never posted it on here. 100+ hours into this project, a lot of measuring, cutting, notching and welding. Used 1 3/4". 1 5/8" and 1" DOM tubing. LineX added for durability.

I don't want to seem like a wet blanket, but...
A word of caution: I had vertical bars (not tubes) in a custom front at one time. They had a configuration very similar to yours. Mine were fine until one day there was quick turn, a speed bump, a steep incline, nasty crashing noises and a sudden rain of asphalt debris: My bars were the victims of self destruction when they unexpectedly did brief duty as pavement breakers. :gasp:
You may want to tuck your "spikes" back a little.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm soon going higher, so I think I may be ok. In the meantime I will be careful

Nice and sturdy looking maybe you ought to submit your design to someone that produces those things all the time but get the design pattented first so that you can say you actually own it. Other wise you could get screwed trying to get any money out of any prospective buyers.
