thanks alot guys... i used krylon rust tough enamel... i had done this before to my colorado but it didnt come out as smooth and shiny as this one did...
as for the actual procedure:
1. sanded the chrome just enough to make it dull
2. adhesion promoter (duplicolor brand... 1 coat)
3. paint (3 coats... light)
4. clear coat (2 coats... make sure you go slow to get that nice shine :great:)
not bad for $20 bucks of material huh?
heres a pic of my colorado... i used a duplicolor paint but i think its all in the technique really if you go slow and not do too many quick strokes it seems to work better...

gotta say it looks really good and with the little crome on rims thats what i like not too much crome. you gave me a good idea what i might do to my truck . ive got the crome brush guard and crome nurf bars and some crome on the rims. so thanks for the idea.

well thanks... it took me to do the colorado one about an hour or so because it was my first time doing it and i didnt sand anything down just sprayed away... the silverado one took me about 3 because i sanded and prepped it a little more... if i still had my colorado i would redo it because it looks so much better when you have a better idea of what your doing lol...
