probitably not.....it would be alot easier just to go to a car alarm shop and just have them do it for you or just buy the kit they sell... my mom had a remote start came with the video how to install and everything it wasnt that much but we never installed it

not sure if you can do that, but can get an aftermarket one that does the same. one of my friends with a 01 has auto start and the windows roll down from the remote.

a stero shop might be able to hook the aftermarket up with your stock controller

If your truck has "remote start provisions" but not the key fob its $125 from the dealer and they might flash the computer for free. An easy way to tell if you have the provisions built in is if the fob can activate the door lock function from about 200 feet away. Also if you have the auto climate controler it will activate to a self adjusted setting which is nice in the cold winter mornings.
If that is not present a stereo shop can add the remote start / window / what ever else you want done for starting around 300 bucks give or take.
Fun stuff

I have the Viper alarm/remote start. It is a 2 way so it tells you when your alarm is going off (if you are in range) It also tells you why its going off (hood, door, etc).A bunch of other add ons (for a small fee) windows roll down, more sensors look um up! My fob takes a AAA battery but it will seriously work a mile away. I've tested it.
