if i change the gears in the rear diff to lower gears and dont touch the gears in the front diff what will happen when i put this truck into 4wd on dry pavement? will this thing move forward or will it just bind up?

non matching gear ratios will tear each other apart depending on how off they are it could be over time or it could be instantly..its never a good idea to have mismatched gears if you do basically you have two axles fighting eachother (one trying to faster than the other )and its just going to shread the driveline parts

It will surely bind up.

in this case you'll drag the rear wheel's until you blow up the tranny.
