We would really like to help but we're not psychic. We really need a whole lot more info like is it intermittent, is it one OR the other or does both radio and lights come on together all the time, do the lights go off if you apply the E-brake, does this happen when the keyswitch is off,were there any recent events like under dash work,electrical problems, high water etc.etc.

Looks like there may be a keyswitch problem. Do all the dash idiot lights come on too as if you turned the key on ready to start it?

I have been watching to see what all comes on, but everything does not always come on, we just changed the ignition switch but that did not cure the problem. we now have discovered the volt meter is dropping and the light dimming. Have also pulled all wire connections apart and cleaned(no hep) Don't know what to do at this point short of dynamite. any help appreciated

Look in your fuse panel for two little aluminum cubes they are relays one is power windows and the other accessory ( at least thats what is in my truck and I figure most GMs are very similar) try swapping them and see if your problem goes to your windows.
