Does anyone know where I can get a gauge cluster replacement for less than $600? The dealer quoted me around $600 for a new one. My sister has an 03 Silverado 4.3 L. Her rpm and oil pressure needles are dead. They both just sit as if the truck were off. I unhooked the gauge cluster and put mine in (since ours trucks are the same and 4 years apart) and it worked just fine. All needles are where they should be. Checked all fuses for any blown ones and all was okay. And where there any recalls in 03 for the gauge clusters? (Didn't find any online.)

Check the junk yards, ebay, the like. You will need to have it sent in to have the odometer ajusted to actual miles. Not sure about recalls though

Does the truck have more than 60,000 miles on it, if not, take it or call you local dealership. My cluster did the same thing and I had 55,000 miles on my 2003 Silverado. Dealership got my info 1 day and ordered the part the next day. All for free
Hope this helps

There was a recall for this specific item (cluster). Call your local dealership

yea it's got about 77 k on it. I guess I'll check with the dealership. If no results, I'll hit up the junkyard. Always good stuff sitting there. But if I get one from the junkyard will the mileage be different. Is that programmed into the cluster or the onboard computer? Thanks for eveyone's help.

03-04 were on recalls from the Dealer, but your requirements were 7yrs/70k miles for them to replace at their cost. Also, remember if you buy used, you must have it calibrated back to the original miles you have for it to be accurate for the miles before selling. Unless the vehicles are 10 yrs and older, when you sell you will need to state the miles as accurate, otherwise you face fines if its sold under false pretences. Thats where the 10yrs comes in, if its beyond this then the miles do not matter.
