dual battery set up

when installing a second battery, does the wiring go: positive to positive and negative to negative? or does it go: positive to negative and so on?

for the life of me i cannot remember how to do it so it gives me 12 volts and not 24 volts:) i think its positive to positive and negative to negative...

you want to parallel it all, positive to positive, negative to negative...any other way will smoke all the electronics. :gasp: However, you probably want to install a battery isolator while you're at it to keep the batteries from killing each other due to different battery age and such...

thats what i was thinking, thanks for the reminder:)
oh and the isolator is a good idea to, i had planned on getting one.
