Quick Rocker Pod Giveaway Facts:

Ultimate Truck Gear is looking for a full-sized Chevy Truck owner who wants a free set of Rocker Pods that will have them installed, take photos, do a write-up and give an honest opinion.
Vehicles Eligible. Any full-size GM product. Silverado, Sierra, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Avalanche and Hummer H2 or H3.
Responsibilities. The truck owner will get a free set (product and shipping) in exchange for letting his/her Full-Sized GM truck be showcased. Whoever gets these must install them or have them installed (you must pay for installation charges if you have them installed) and be willing to take photos and do a product review. If you have visions of never installing these and just selling them on eBay, then this event is not for you.

My truck gets used. I haul stuff all the time. Yesterday I hauled some huge rocks. last weekend I hauled a load of gravels. If I need to I can put my father in laws Toyota pickup in the back of my truck and haul it too:money:...this is a real truck not a show truck.
When I bought this truck new I considered a tool box but I knew that would not allow me to use the truck like I intended...to haul stuff. With a tool box in the back I could not haul the thirty bales of pine straw or the 50 bags of mulch for the landscaping at my home. With a tool box in the back I would not be able to haul the rip-rap, the gravel or the huge rocks because the tool box would be in the way. So I just have all my stuff crammed up under the backseat and find myself constantly having to move it around because it gets in the way.The Rocker Pods would allow me to store all of that gear and a whole lot more.
No need for me to pay someone to mount the rocker pods..I can do it.

I do think that the Rocker Pods donated by
Ultimate Truck Gear
http://www.ultimatetruckgear.com/images/blank.png http://www.ultimatetruckgear.com/images/blank.png
would look great on my 2007 GMC Sierra. I haven't done any mechanical modifications but have added some custom stripes. This was just to make it look a little different from the hundreds of other trucks around. I've also added a under seat storage box made by Du-Ha. The one problem I have found is I still don't have enough storage when I go out of town scuba diving, if I could put the things I have in my under sear storage somewhere else I could then keep the sensitive and expensive other qear in the truck. Being out of sight would also help. Why beak in, if it looks like there is nothing inside. I would like to get them installed before spring break-up that way I can start utilizing the extra space right away. Thanks for have the opportunity to win something that is well thought up and a made in Canada product.

HMMM....all the crap in my burban for my two dogs would go nicely in these!!! I wonder if they can double as a cooler?? I would have to get them rhino lined as i plan this for the bottom of the beast from the trim on down to replace all the chrome panels

I believe they can be had without the chrome - recall that being said but not sure. They'd look hefty and rugged rhino lined, though! Woot!

i have wanted to get my rocker panels rhinoed for a couple years now but the summer tends to go bye to fast, so hopefully i can do it this year. I think th beast would look pretty sweet with that and those pods all rhinoed!!

I agree!
Come to think of it... I don't know that an entire Suburban rhino lined wouldn't look super sweet, and totally rugged! lol
Doberman... those pictures so totally put me in the mood to win this stuff..! Thanks for the incentive!

I enter by PM to Doberman.
Having them Rhino lined is definitely a sweet idea. I like the cooler thought too. I want to install tool drawers in a set. So many options and only one set to give away.
I think ultimate gear should run this contest once a year, or month or even weekly.

The odds of being selected for this contest are actually pretty good overall. It does take a quick little PM or public post in this forum with the criteria discussed in this first post, but overall if should be easier to be the selected prize-winner than other contests when you're talking about odds.

WOOT! WOOT! I like my odds then, and bry2500, I like your drawer idea! Mix that with mine and you have a cooler that can slide out!!

When my friend restored his wrangler we went down to a rhino liner dealer to get a quote to do the entire thing. They literally laughed at us. They said the thing would weigh so much afterward and cost so much to do that it would just be stupid. And a burb has like twice the surface area as a wrangler.

YES YES YES!!! The Rocker Pods come with two plugs located at the bottom. If you like you can put Ice in them and your choice of beverage (Remember drinking and driving is stupid and NOT cool, but the Rocker Pods are cool especially with ice in them). As for the Rhino Liner, we are working closely with a local Linex shop and can offer the Rocker Pods coated on the ends and on the bottom if requested. Also the aluminum checker plate surfaces can be Linex coated if requested.....Man you guys are way ahead of me, LOL!!
Thanks,

I am planning on lining my 'burb about half way down the side then painting the whole thing black. ANOTHER shopping cart got the side yesterday...that would solve that problem!! I was also planning on doing the running boards, but the pods would look cooler!!
I guess I will make this my official entry as well, so here goes.
The rid is a '97 K1500. Mostly stock except I have an intake on it and have removed the chrome & rubber trim from the sides. It also has the newer style suburban rims on it...looked better and couldn't resist the deal! I would like to get about 4" of life and 33 -35 AT tires. I don't do mud or rock, but sand is a must. The pods would be awesome since it would give me a place to put things like the air compressor and some other tools so the dog has more room in the back!! I also want to line the sides and bumpers, or make my own bumpers. Either way the truck plan is to be a bit tougher and still be a daily driver/ family hauler/ trip monger!

I would love a set of these rocker pods for my truck, It is a show truck it does not go off-road. I can honestly say that I have the most diamondplate on this website on one vehicle, I love one off items like these. I have never been a follower in the truck market, and I think my truck represents that. A lot of people thing my truck is too much, which I appreciate their opinion but these would look awesome on my truck. The black box would match my truck, and the diamondplate tread would go with my diamondplate tonneau cover. I love the fact that they mount to the cab mounts, I hate to drill into the body for anything. I am definately able to put these on, I have installed everything on my truck by myself that didn't come from the dealer. I am willing to sacrifice my full length stainless steel step bars for these rocker pods to take there place, that's a $1,200 set of Iron Cross steps from Putco that will be wrapped in foam and stored in the garage. Anyways thanks for offering those to the members, honestly I hope Dwill gets them because they would put his truck over the top!:great:
