So I did my research, talked with a few more mechanics and I have solved my problem! There is a thing called a MAP(Manifold Absolute Pressure)sensor wich is the main regulator that acts as an EGR diagnostics device and an engine load verification device. The EMS uses this device to calculate engine load and EGR flow rates. The MAF sensor is just a back up for the MAP sensor, that is why the truck still runs without the MAF sensor hooked up. The MAP sensor on the other hand has to be hooked up to run the truck. The MAP sensor is located on the back of the intake manifold on top in case any one needs that info. Im as happy as a two peckered billy goat!
