old guy and a '99 silverado needs a new 5.3L and transmission ( '71 MGB-GT needs the old). besides the computers, engine and transmission what other parts do i need?

i hope to upgrade my '99 silverado with a late model 5.3L and 4L60 transmission which calls for changes to the newer computers as well. i hope to install the present 5.3L and 4L60 units into a '71 MGB GT i am doing suspension and body work on at this time. loads of work so i have to live a long time! thanks for the welcomes.

Don't forget about cooling. You'll need a sufficient cooling setup for that Toy. I know if I had it it would be driven hard. MG's might not have enough airflow to keep the coolant temp in a safe range. Definitely look into some hi flow puller fans (ie. Flex-a-lites).

Also if you are using the stock fuel pump that is in the MG make sure it can can supply enough pressure.

Oh and leave enough in your budget for a custom exhaust.

There has got to be other thing's but those are the quick items that I thought of.
