Hey Kids,
I have an '04 1500 Short box, WT and I recently replaced the stock shocks with the KYB GR-2 units. The truck has 90k on it, and I'm sure the shocks on it were stock. When compressed, one of the rears took and awful long time to extend. Got the whole set of 4 from Rock Auto for $125.
Ride seems a lot more firm with these shocks, and I lost the "El Dorado" float that is typical to some of these trucks. It was actually a smoother ride with the stockers, but at the expense of control. Seems to corner much better, with a definite increase in control and safety.
Anyone else try these?
