I have a 2005 1500 Z-71 with the one piece rear window with defroster built in, and my dad has a 2005 2500HD with the split rear window in his truck. His rear window was installed after market by the dealer, his truck was originally equipped with the rear window defroster and the one piece window. My question is will his split rear window fit in my truck even though there different model trucks, I know my dad's truck has the harness and switch for the defroster so that's all good on that part. I just want to trade him for my stock one, any help would be appreciated on this thanks.
You might be wondering why I didn't order mine that way, the last three trucks I have bought I have wanted that option and the dealer always told me I would have to wait up to six months for an ordered vehicle and then I would have to wait even longer to have the window put in. I was always in too much of a hurry to get my truck, my dad just lucked out but he doesn't even like the sliding window. :lol:
