Where's everyone from the mountainous part of the country?
I'm in Denver, and I know I've seen other CO members around.

Well, my HEART is in Colorado, but my truck and my butt are in Tennessee! :(
I'll be visiting Colorado late next month, and probably stay about a month.
Yepper willbradfan, the USAFA auto hobby shop is nice, and the staff are friendly.
PAFB also has some nice facilities, and the staff are OK, but not as easy-going as the USAFA folks.

Settled in Fountain (CO SPGS) Colorado but a true Native, born in Sterling CO, lived in Grand Juncton and went to High School in Lakewood. Army kept stationing me at Ft Carson and we decided that we liked this part of the state best! Here to stay or whenever my kids move me to a home! Just bought a 97 Suburban and found this site.

I'm not from Colorado and I don't live in Colorado - but it IS my favorite place on the planet!
I first visited Denver in the early 60's when my aunt & uncle lived there.
I went to tech-school at Lowry AFB in 1970; was stationed at Lowry from 79-83; and finally came back to Colorado Springs in 1993 when my wife got stationed at Peterson AFB. I had retired from the USAF in 1990, and she retired from PAFB in 95. We left the Springs in 2004 for her new job in Memphis - and plan to return and *really* retire in the mountains. I still go back for visits a couple of times a year. My daughter was born at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center; My son is stationed at the USAF Academy and living in Colorado Springs now; and my mother-in-law still lives in the Spprings - waiting for US to move back!
Anyhow - I'm leaving here (Memphis) tomorrow, heading to Colorado and hope to stay about a month this time! Just look for the White 2009 GMC Dually Crew Cab with TN license plates. No telling where I might show up - but I know I'll be in CS, Breckenridge, Fairplay, Buena Vista and PROBABLY make a side trip to Casa Bonita in Denver - and all kinds of places in between.
If I can round up an ATV, I'd like to hit Red Cone, Taylor Park, Mosquito Pass/Birds Eye Gulch/Wheeler Lake areas ... and more!
For sure, I'll keep my friends on ATVQUADSQUAD.com (http://atvquadsquad.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/8316077654) updated.
Sounds like a cool trip. Careful when you go to Casa Bonita, the food there ain't what it used to be.

The food never was that great. LOL
It is just a fun place to go.
Anyhow, I just find something I like and keep ordering more of that - and skip the parts I don't like.

I live in Idaho! I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay area Go A's! LOL But my hearts always been in the Mountains! There's nothing better than wheeling up into the back country and Fly Fishing for Cutthroats on the Salmon river! Or riding my Softail thru the twisty mountain roads! A GREAT way to relieve stress. I've really enjoyed reading your posts and they have helped me in more ways than you can imagine! Keep on Chevy Truckin'!

The diareah I get now from Casa Bonitas is worse than it used to be. I still have little kids, so I'm cursed with having to go there from time to time. Honestly, I've never seen a girl high diver there, it's always some dude dressed up as some cowboy.

Well, I still haven't made the trip up to Denver and Casa Bonita.
The food Never Was the attraction at CB. But it is a neat place to visit. And for kids & grandkids, it ranks just above Chucky Cheese. ;)
P.S. I did end up buying a used ATV the morning I left Memphis; and I spent the weekend before last up at Taylor Park, camping and riding with a bunch of friends. The quad still needs some more work - but I hope to get out and ride some more before I head back to TN.

New Mexico in the house here .... the best way to describe New Mexico is it's where the Mountains meet the Desert and a little windy since Arizona sucks and Texas Blows .... (thats a New Mexico joke !)

Ha! Thanks for the laugh...been a long day. The Yukon does pretty well up in the hills with 5.3 and the 4.10s. I'll keep a watch out for you anyway! She's going in next week for the 50K fluid change (trans/front diff/rear diff/tcase.) Told it should run about $300 at Wizard transmissions.

I haven't done much of the gambling thing. Just spend LOTS of days playing around in the white stuff in the winter and sleeping under the stars in the summer.

I used to live in Redstone, (20 miles west of aspen) and Highway 133 is favorite road hands down to drive on. No cops and all curves, with very minimal traffic. Redstone is also very beautiful I would recommend a weekend trip to the valley if you've never been. Stop at the crystal club as well.
