Gas mileage in your Avalanche?

Just curious as to the gas mileage that people are getting in their Avalanche.

my cousin get's about 15.9mpg according to the little computer thing on the dash he has a 2004

My '03 gets about 9 mpg according to actually computing it. I don't drive it much these days.

Gas mileage acutllay can change dramatically depending on how you drive and what you do with your vehicle. Someone who punches it off the line and hauls stuff all the time will see very low mileage. Driving as if you have a cup of coffee on the dash that's about to spill will help dramatically with the mileage.

Typically we see between 15-18mpg normal driving and 10-11mpg when towing.

Don't use the DIC [Driver Information Center] as they've been found to off by 10% ... In my '03 Z71 w/20"s and 4:10's in the rear I was getting 13.7 in town and just over 17 MPG's on the highway w/the cruise set.

well when i had my 02 av I got 21 highway thats with corsa cat back, throttle body spacer and cai. mostly drove on highway. now my 05 av before brush guard I got 16 around town and 19 highway. now with the brush guard I get 15 around town highway ? highway .

I was getting around 18 mpg on my way to South Dakota.

'07 LS w/ Borla cat-back exhaust and K&N cold air intake

Run to Las Vegas from Los Angeles 281 miles exactly; took just over half a tank of gas; averaged 16mpg @ 80mph cruise control.

Stop-and-go driving around El A averages 13mpg in V8 mode; 20 in V4 mode (coasting or going very slow).

I get 11 city and 13 highway. I did some reasearch and with mods I can get about 1 to 2 more MPG's. But mods are for power and torque not for MPG's.

I get 16.8 right now was getting 17.4 but the old chec engine lights on.. [vent valve ox sensors gas cap] everything at once.

hey dinger interesting web site. thing is since i made my last post for gas update i added bigger tires and now my gas miles is around 12 to 13.

My 02 gets anywhere from 14 to 20 mpg. Depends on the conditions, how fast I drive, traffic, etc...
