Have the 2500HD and just had the Snugtop fiberglass cover put on the bed, ironicly (maybe not) the dealer didn't have or know of a seal that fills the voids around the tail gate itself (sides and bottom) nor did they hook up the light that was built into the cover??

So two things need info on where to find a seal for the tailgate and info from someone whom has similar bedcover and suggestions on getting the light hooked up to work. Not sure I want it "hot" all the time, but maybe a switched?

what year is your truck? i was just wondering if it had a cargo light. it might be possible to wire the bedcover light into that then it would be on the switch. although then both would come on and who knows if that would affect any warranty or anything

Hello,
Our truck is a 2009.
It has the cargo light and I was thinking that might be the way to go so it would be on the in cab switch.
Probably not a warranty issue, just not certain yet where to hook the light up.
Wife says she is gonna call the seller/installer of the bedcover...to quote her" BS the bedcover cmae with a light, they pushed the light as a selling point, so why didn't they hook it up"...
I'm thinking I may "unleash her":fighting0040: on them!
