I've seen these around. Anyone put one on their vehicle?

Everyone likes different things. I wouldn't put that on one of my demo derby cars. If I EVER put one of those on my truck, somebody shoot me in the foot !

I wonder if they color match or if you have to get it in brushed aluminum?

I have one on my truck. I got it for my birthday and they picked it up from autozone. Its supposed to be for my 99 silverado but since the body panel is slightly curved right where the gas tank door is, the new billet aluminum door stick out about 1/8" to 3/16" on the top and bottom of the outter rim. Love the look. just wish it was more custom. I think its like $50.

I have a locking chrome fuel filler door, I really don't like the look of it. I bought it because I had about $100 worth of gas stolen out of my gas tank while we were at the auto show, after I bought it my dad told me that all they will do now is punch a hole in the gas tank and drain it that way. He was laughing when he said it, and I hope he is joking!

He's right. A buddy of mine had his gas stolen several times. He finally got a locking door thinking it would help. The thieves came back a few weeks later and found it locked, so they broke in from underneath causing $400+ damage, and still took his gas.

I been looking for a fuel door for a while now, but specifically I want one that is gray or gun metal in color. I hate the chrome ones and I don't want a black one.... which happen to be the only styles I can find...

Be sure it fits properly before buying as many of the aftermarket billet fuel doors are flat and do not fit the contour of the box so you end up with a lip or edge sticking out. I bought a GM billet fuel door and mine fits flush.
