Good luck with that. Let us know how it goes.

If you get time, post some before and after pictures in the Chevy Gallery. Just click "Gallery" on the top menu.

I am looking to put a lift on my z71. What should I go with ... the suspension or the body lift? I like the suspension much better but the money is out the wang. And I am only looking at a 3" and if I get that would size tires would look good for it?

what do you have to change when lifting a truck like just a 2-3 inch lift?

the lift I have is just a cheap one I got it on ebay a no name company but all I changed was the torshion Bar keys and put 3in lift blocks in the back it took about 45 mins total and it looks a hole lot bigger also I had to get HD shocks so that thay were long enough to reach

I bought Torsion bar keys and Bilstein shocks to install on my Silverado. The torsion bar keys allow you to give the front end a couple of inches lift (leveling kit basically) without cranking more tension on the torsion bars (will stiffen ride with more tension) so you can have your vehicle sit level in the front and not lose stock ride comfort. Longer shocks are a must as well because it will make your stock skocks "top out" causing a rougher ride with the lift.

yea it will put a a little more stress on them but not too much.... front end parts may wear out slightly faster but not that much faster than they would at stock height
