Just FYI everyone, we've had a couple of dealerships that are interested in helping out the site and in exchange they will get to post up to 5 new topics per month about their dealerships or the new and/or used vehicles that they've got for sale.

I sure hope everyone takes a look at these dealers when they start signing-up and they're in your geographical area.

Yes Yes, I like that idea a lot! SO do we have any dealers that sell conversions coming to the site? I might be in the market for another one to keep my truck company??:glasses:

I actually just did a phone interview with Jerry Sherrod from Sherrod vans and converstions. Not too sure about that, the conversion market has changed a lot in the past 25 years from the peak in the mid 1980s. There's always room for more sponsors though.

That sounds like a great promotional tool for both parties. I'm always interested in new trucks even if the wife doesnt approve, I aint afraid of sleeping on the couch a few nights for a good truck.

Soiunds like a good idea, especially if it helps fund the site!

Hey, sounds good to me. In a year or so I'll be in the market for a late model Suburban-maybe new-.
I would kinda like one of the XFE Suburbans. My 98 gets 21 mpg hy-rated at 17 mpg. I would bet one of the XFEs could get an honest 25 mpg hy if driven at 65mph.
25 mpg means they are viable vehicles even with $5 gasoline. 120 gallons for a 3000 mile roadtrip-just $600 fuel cost at $5/gal (worst case guess)-not bad considering motels are $100/d.
My current Suburban uses about 142 gallons over 3000 miles.Cost us $570 for fuel on trips from NOLA to Flagstaff AZ.

Suburbans can actually be fairly cheap road trip vehicles since we sleep at rest stops enroute-saving $80/night in motel costs both ways. There aren't maybe vehicles that 2 adults, and 1-2 long legged greyhounds can sleep comfortably in. Our Pilot was very very crowded with the same sleeping arrangement.Sleeping in the bed of the Tundra was miserable-dangerous and noisy also.

Bring on the dealers,
Charlie
