Sorry guys..... I'm new here and have another question about my '99
Z-71 Silverado:
Gas gauge when sitting still goes past empty and low fuel light comes on. It'll do this 5 times or more in a 20 minute drive. Took it by "a mechanic"
and he said it was something attached to the fuel pump and I had to buy a whole new fuel pump just to get this part (can't remember it's name).
Well, I did that and you probably already know.....it didn't fix the problem. THAT was an expensive trial/error!!
I took it by a Chevy dealership (I should have to that to begin with), and they told me it was the fuel pressure regulator and it's under the hood.
I got one at www.gmpartsclub.com (http://www.gmpartsclub.com) online (great price), but have no freakin' clue where it is under the hood. I'm trying to learn to do all this by myself rather than take it to a mechanic every time.
Any help on locating this thing?
Does this sound like ther right "fix"?
Thanks again.....
