If something does happen with the retirees I will feel sorry for them, you spend your whole life tearing your body up for a decent living and then you retire. And then they want to come and take it all away from you, that just isn't right no matter who you work for. I had relatives that had 28 years with LTV steel, and when they went under everyone lost everything they had worked in the foundry for.

Quick question: I always thought CAW was seperate from the UAW, even though they are still GM. Is this true, and where would CAW stand if GM goes bankrupt? I always wondered about that.

They seperated from UAW in 1985. CAW does way more than just Auto workers too.
CAW would survive a GM bankruptcy.
