so it would be safe to say your tuner module would produce the same gains as one from BLACK BEAR?? your prices beat the black bear company by leaps and bounds, but does that mean you will offer the same amount of tuning??

So I was checking out your website today, and I saw the prices and testimonials but I didn't see what kind of gains that you get with these tunes. I don't care about MPG and crap like that, how much horsepower and torque on the average are you getting from a 5.3. Just an estimated guess will help me out, because I am wondering how much you really give for $275?

I live in Ohio and there is a performance shop that I want to go with because I have seen there trucks on dyno's and they are hellacious, so I am trying to get an idea if I am getting a good deal or not. The company goes by the name Mallet Performance, they charge $2,000 for this finished product that I am seriously interested in. The first part of the product is a mild cam from Lunati that they install, and then the custom tune that they basically reprogram EVERYTHING. I have seen there setup on a 5.3 Silverado on a dyno pull 75 horsepower over stock at 6,000 rpm's, and the torque is at 113 ft. lbs.

If your tune can get me say 50 hp I will consider it, but if we're only talking 20-30 hp. like I have heard with some of these tunes then I will go with Mallet, just curious and trying to weigh my options so any help yyou can offer would be greatly appreciated. :money:

What was done to the 5.3 they tested this on?
And for 2 grand it better come with a cam swap, springs, pushrods, longtubes and tune with installation!!

The 5.3 they did this on had headers and true dual exhaust, with just a cam nothing else. Thanks for the info, and welcome to the site.:glasses:

I have been looking at getting a performance tune for my 96 suburban, what kind of performance increases do 96 suburbans usually get? Can you change the shift points on my suburban, as I noticed that when i race my bros new z71 silverado I beat him up to the part when his shifting points shift before mine, and mine was redlining while I was waiting for the computer to shift already but by the time it did he had made enough gain to beat me. I would prefer a handheld tuner to switch inbetween tunes but if you could make a performance road tune for highways/cities that is setup for the occassional boat towing that would be awesome. Thanks, sorry about all of the questions

Welcome to the site Wheatley, I'm sure you do a great job but just a little friendly advice, you should probably try to spell Chevrolet correctly on your website, it just doesn't inspire much confidence. :great:
