Well it is new to us.....

It is a 2005 Chev Silverado 4x4 Crew Cab, Z71 in Sport Metalic Red. It is the LS model, and comes with a 5.3, 3.73 gears and bunch of bells and whistles and on the build sheet it says Special Edition Package, which I have not been able to figure out much, other than power seats and step bars. She has a little over 65000 KM (40000 miles) on her and other than a nasty rattle from the steering when on rough roads, she in great shape.

here is a picture just before the wash. We added a canopy on it for camping and the dogs

After I added the fender flares and gave a good wax to her

Now I just need to figure out how to install the Husky Mud Flaps. They are for the OEM FF, but not sure if the OM style by Bushwacker are the same.

Cheers

looks good... nice job on the wax job... do you do it by hand or do you have a buffer/polisher?

Quote "and other than a nasty rattle from the steering when on rough roads" Sounds like an intermediate steering shaft. Easy fix. GM should fix this for free. Quite a common problem. I had a 2005 HD that I had fixed twice. No charge. Nice truck.

just throwing this in... the special edition was more of an appearance package than anything else. it would give you the chrome side steps, the alloy wheels you have instead of steel w/ chrome covers, and fog lamps. There might be another little thing or two that i missed, but i think thats most of it.

Nice truck! The steering noise sounds like the intermediate shaft, it needs lube. The dealer does it cheap!

Nice truck, I wanted a four door but came across a nice extended cab so bought it instead.
