2009 Fuel Control Module for a 2008 3.7 L I5

Folks,
Does anyone have any information on whether the 2009 Fuel Contol Module for a 3.7 I5 will work in a 2008 3.7 I5?
GM is claiming an 14% increase in MPG in 2009 over the 2008 for both the 2.9 Liter and 3.7 Liter..
I was wondering if the Fuel Module is a direct replacement for the 2008 and if it's available for purchase..

Welcome to the site! We have several folks on the site with the earlier Colorados, but I have not seen any one discussing the differance in the 2009. Maybe someone better informed will jump in with some info'!
