I just found out that the problem on my truck is NOT the tranny. It's the motor. I found this out because when it was in park, I revved it up at WOT and the motor would not revv past 3,000 rpms. Thats why when i'm driving and i get on it, the truck doesn't want to go once it gets to about 2,500 rpms. Does anyone know what the problem could be??

Thanks,
Nathan

Could be the catalytic converter.

I'm going to take it to green & white automotive soon and see if they can tell me what the problem is.

MAF sensor?
I'll clean it tomorrow and see if it works after that. It's def. not the fuel pump or fuel filter cuz my dad has a fuel pressure gauge. He said the injectors might be dirty though.

What pressure is your fuel pump putting out? It needs to be around 62 psi.

I think it was around 55 or something like that.

55 is too low, it looks like its time for a fuel pump. I went through this on my Suburban last summer. It was at 55-57 and had a hard time starting. It would run ok as long as you didn't want to pass anyone, then it would not get above 3500 rpms. I replaced the pump and it cleared everything up.

I took the truck to the shop today at around 11am..They called me at about 3:00 saying it needs a fuel pump and a fuel filter. They are also going to clean the injectors. I haven't been able to feel the power of my truck for soo long!! they said it will be done TOMORROW! :gasp:
