OEM Tweeters

Hey All ,

My 2008 Silverado came with tweeters mounted on the A-pillars of the truck . i just replaced them with some Power Acoustik NB1 tweeters and blahhh! Not impressed. The distort easy . Any one else have the OEM tweeters in their truck ? I'm thinking about reinstalling them .Thanks!

The speakers you installed dont have enough power going to them, either put the old ones back in or get and amp for the tweets, but then you have a whole new can of worms trying to run an amp on a factory system, especially to tweeters, they are connected to the speakers in your doors, so now you would need to replace those as well, and talking about replacing components, you will lose a lot still using the factory deck, then having to use a line out converter and splicing into wires. Do you have a factory sub? There is a good chance that is tied into the front speakers in some way too. Adding a sub to factory stereos is one thing but doing componets you will lose alot compared to if you just put a new deck, amp and speakers
