Hey everyone. Im new here. Just got my truck in january as a late christmas present. im still in high school so i cnt do any major mods to the truck yet. It's a 2007 NBS 1500 crew cab with 2wd and the 4.8L. I have a few mods, 18inch atx series Thug teflon wheels the bfg tires. i aslo paintd the back wheel wells black with rustoleum. And in gettn nerf steps put on tommorow cuz my mom cant get in the truck half the time xD. im hoping to get a leveling kit soon since the new tires rub up front a lil and i plan on gettin a 4 or 6 inch lift after i can aford it. sry for rambling i just realy love the truck.
also, i was wondering what a good, cheap locking rear differential would be? we bought the truck used frm a rental car company and it doesnt evn have posi traction. thanx, and everyone here seems reall helpful

i picked up mine for 16k used. ur luck ur dad helps u out. my das a ford guy and he HATES my truck haha. especially since hes had atleast 20 f-250's (he bought them as company trucks wen he own a pipeline company). and thanx but yah, iowas a lil far.
u think u culd answer a question about a leveling kit tho? im looking at the rancho system and i foun one for $65. it says u need a coil spring compressor to install it but im wondering if i could just disconnect and drop the a-arms?

Yeah when i did mine i just unbolted the strut from the top and the a arm and pulled it down far enough to slide it on and be glad u dont have to use a spring compressor when i did my suspension i had to and we had to use 4 of the bolt compressors and that was after we broke the wall mount compressor theyre really stiff

you have to re use the oem spring but the buy at the 4x4 shop told me if i use a high lift floor jack and drop the a-arms all the way i shuld b able to do it without a compressor. if i do need one tho, luckily my neighbor across the street has 1 he agreed to let me borrow if i needed it. when he did the lift kit on his jeep he said it was easier just to disassemble adn drop the front axel so i guess ill find out this weekend
