dimmer switch

I guess my dimmer switch died....The dash lights stay on and can not be adjusted.....I can still turn the dome/reading lights on and off....I have about 71k miles on the 2004 silverado....Think it is worth getting a used switch from a junk yard, or buy a new one? Also, anyone ever take one out?

I'd say if you know where to buy it, I would go with new. (eBay eBAY EBBAAYY!!) Barring that, might as well go for used. Problem is that it's worn down enough that it may need to be replaced next year, year after that... or next month.
