Should make it a little quieter, cooler and other good stuff from that.

well i did it. i changed the filter and put in a plug at the same time. so in the future i will just drain and fill, it took me two hours to do the whole thing. i put mble 1 in the trans and am very happy with the end process. the noise is gone. it feels better and did i say the noise is gone. Also when i took the pan down there was a magnit on the inside with alot of silver stuff. i talked to some guy i know and he said this is normal. since it looks like it might have never been changed.

Yeah, both are common (to have a magnet and to have some shavings collected to it). Two hours isn't too bad of a job.
WTG!

drain plug makes draining easier to change the filter, no need for such a large drain pan. but never just drain without changing filter.
