Has anyone ever installed the pac swi-ps harness or the GMOS-01 harness? Im almost done with my stereo install. All I have left to do is Hook the GPS up and mount the 2nd battery. Im trying to figure out how to install these adapters. . This is my first electrical project. I dont really know a lot about this type of work. My brother was helping me but he got his engine for his cadillac.

I was looking through the manuals but it makes no sense to me. For the Pac SWI-ps the wires im supposed to be "tapping" into are Light Green, Red, and black. (Green being the steering wheel controls, Red being the power and black being the ground.) But then it says something about the Red and Black wire being on a aftermarket wire kit. So If anyone can guide me through this.

Heres the GMOS-01 adapter Manual. I think im using the 14 pin harness in the "For Aftermarket Radio And Amplifier" section

Also can someone explain to me what "Tapping" is haha. Also where would I buy the parts that I need to Tapp into the wires?

The Head unit is a Pioneer Avic f90bt. The subs are 3 12" Kicker CVR's and 2 older viper audio amps. And the dorr speakers Are infinity's.

It looks like with that harness you're hooking your radio harness up to the adapter, and then the adapter to the wiring in the truck, either through a wiring install kit (HIGHLY RECCOMENDED) or cutting off the factory radio connector (HIGHLY DISCOURAGED). Just think of it that this unit is a go-between for the radio and the rest of the truck. The colors mentioned are colors that are in the "industry standard" aftermarket radio wiring color code.

Has anyone installed the GMOS-01 or the GMOS-04 before?
