I was wondering if anyone knows the largest tire size that could fit on a stock 2000 s10 ext. cab? I heard it was 235/75 15. If I could go larger without rubbing, and having to lift it, that would be awesome, but I'm not sure how tall I can go.

Well I have a 2001 S-10 extended cab, and I am currently running LT215/75/R15 on the stock wheels. I have no rubbing in the front, unless you try and make a super tight U-turn and then you will get some bump steer. When I got these tires fitted at NTB, the guy told me the max you could go is 2" bigger on the overall diameter.
Here is a picture of the back of the truck, plenty of room unloaded but in the winter I carry 350lbs. of sand in the bed for traction. I did bottom the truck out on a steep bump, and it actually dented my wheel well bad enough to be pounded out.

Here is the front of my truck, same size as the back and there is plenty of room. I have had these BFGoodrich's on the truck for 40,000 miles and I love them enough to buy another set.

I have a 2000 2wd S-10 Extended Cab stock suspension. I currently have 225/75/R15 tires on the stock rims. I have not had any problems with rubbing in the front and still have plenty of room in the rear to handle the 300lbs of sand in and a big fiberglass topper in the winter.
I have heard that 235's will fit, but I think that on my 2wd they would rub in the front. The 4x4's will probably clear but I don't think the 2wd's would.
I do know 235's fit very nicely on the older style 1989 S-10 4x4 I used to own.
my 2 cents: I like the 225's for ground clearance and they make the truck fly on the freeway with the 3.42 rear end but I lost a bit of the low end that I had with the stock 205's on there. Planning on trying 215's in summer and 225 snow tires.

235 75 15 will rub on factory wheels on the inside, but they may work with wheel spacer
(some one said 235 70 15 will too, spacers may help that too)

The same stock rims as above?
I am looking to upsize the tires on my 2000 2WD S10 as well and want to know what I can fit.
Seems 225/75/15 would be safer but if I could go 235/75/15 I would like it much more.
Are those the new Wranglers from Canadian tire?

What do you guys think about spacers? What size spacers would solve the rubbing issue with the 235/75/15??
