Transmission swap ??? Will it work ???

I have a 96 tahoe that is our daily driver and work vehicle but the transmission is starting to fail, I also have a 94 suburban that has a rebuilt transmission but it has engine issues that I just don't have time to tackle right now, can the transmission out of the suburban interchange with the one in my tahoe? I believe they both have the 4L60E. I thought I read somewhere that there was something different about them regarding sensors or something. Any help, I need this vehicle to pull my work trailer.

The 94 is OBDI and the 96 is OBDII. So there's a difference in the electronics.

So essentially you are saying that even thought it's the same transmission number that there is something different, is the difference internal?
