been talkin to a guy who has a 2008 ext cab silverado runnin a 2" levelin kit with 33x12.50x20 (305/55/r20s) Mickey Thompson MTZs 20x9 Ultra Goliath Wheels he says they barely rub at full lock. im gonna put a levelin kit also but what backspacing should i go with , he doesnt no his backspacing or offset thats my problem, any suggestions
and i own a 07 new body style crew cab, gonna add either a 2.5 topguncustomz kit or rc 3"

try to get the rims with a 4.5" BS, not sure of the offset

I'd say go with offset that is as close to factory as possible. G.M. uses 31mm on most of their 20" rims and and some use 20mm, so somewhere between those figures should work out well. Any less and you'll have problems with only 2" of lift. I looked up Goliath rims and saw they come in either 0mm or 30mm offset so it would be nice to know which one he has and where they rub.

he told me they barely rub on the inner fender well on the inside, thanks for your help

I'd say he probably has the 30mm offset then, ask him if the tires fit evenly or real close with the fenders. or better yet get a pic?

Stay around 25 to 30mm offset and I would go over 5" on the backspacing but no more than 5 1/2-5 3/4

Definitely the 30mm offset....factory is around 24mm.
