my sonoma 5 speed has kind of a ghetto transmission, it does not go into the first couple gears very well. Anyone no of a type of oil or something that will make it shift better? I suppose it could also be the clutch

If it's hard to shift into 1st or reverse with the engine running but goes right in with the engine off, it's the clutch. A leaking slave or master cyl will cause this problem.
