Wash 1 or 2 times a week, wax every month and polish twice a year before that months waxing. My wife does her Trailblazer even more (she loves her Trailblazer).

I detail quite often due to some of the environments my truck sits in. Steel mills are hell on paint.

You will rarely see my truck with a spot of dirt on it...everyday i use a california car duster to dust her off and wipe it down with spray detail and a microfiber, i try to wash at least once a week and polish once a month, and ill clay it once a year if i skip out on a polish or waxin...i just love having/driving a clean truck....btw the best products i have used so far is Smartwax

Wax........ Is that the stuff that the Karate Kid movies made famous?

I cannot remember the last time I waxed a vehicle. Wash a few times a year.

I am going to try and be more diligent with at least hosing the undercarriages this winter.

Hmm, I didn't see an option for not even washing it. I've had my truck for over a year, and the rain and snow is all it gets.

I was the outside weekly, wax monthly and usually polish in the spring and fall. I vaccuum the inside everytime i wash and usually every 2 weeks or so i get the armor all out and do a nice interior detail. the reason i dont do the interior more is because of being in the landscaping/construction line of work, as soon as i get in my truck at the end of the day its dusty on the inside lol. i need to buy a beater to drive to work and back so i can keep my truck clean....or better....convince work to give me a truck to drive home every night

I wash weekely. Most of the time using a gas station's touchless drive through car wash.

Detail every 4-6 months. Which includes Clay barring, polish, glaze, wax and sealant.

I use a mixture of products between Zymol, Meguiars, Gloss-It and Pinnacle.

Usally once a month through the summer I hand wash and in the winter I go to the carwash and blast off the sand/salt.

I usually wax about 5 times a year. Try to keep it clean as possible. Basically when it starts to get too dirty for my taste, then it gets cleaned, inside and out.

Unless it's raining, I'll wash and semi-detail it every week. If it's dirty, it'll go through the touchless carwash first to remove most of the dirt. Then back to the garage to dry it off, apply detailer, and get all of the small stuff. Wheels, side-steps, chrome parts, interior, etc.

Then it gets a full clay-bar, polish, and wax with orbital buffer about 2-4 times a year depending on the weather and condition of the paint. A good wax w/ buffer will last awhile in most conditions, especially since it spends the night in the garage.

And since this is Texas, it's not like we need to deal with salt and snow. Just lots and lots... and lots of dust.

Once you see my paint you'll realize the futility of waxing lol.

Car spends most of the time under cover. So, it gets maintenance washes as needed. Usually before a show, or after a night at the drag strip. Give a good, complete detail after winter or before a major show.

I wax my vehicles twice a year, once in May and once in September right before winter. I wash them about once every other week, if you do it more than that all you do is rot them out faster by filling them up with water. :glasses:

Can you wax you truck too much?

Yes, if you are using the type of wax that builds-up. Most, if not all, quality brand waxes will be fine for frequent use. You also should use clay-bar to clean your paint surface so you don't embed surface contaminants under the wax and into the paint.
