OK, after much reading of posts I've decided to put in the recommended plugs, the NGK PZTR-5A15. My Chilton's says to gap them at .060 but I've been told that was amended to .040. I've heard it both ways. By the way my vehicle is an '02 Tahoe with the 5.3.

From every write up I've read and from numerous friends who are certified mechanics, several GM certified, they all said that GM"s are very picky on plugs and run the best with ac delco's. jmo

x a MILLION. I had Bosch+4 in my truck. Ran like crap after a while. Put in the old boring single tip AC Delco platinum plugs gapped at .040. The small gap was at the advice of a friend who has been working on GMs forever. GM issued a bulletin through their Techline (or whatever it's called) to bring the gaps back to .040. It was not a TSB though.

Made a tremendous difference.

Gapped mine the same and it runs 10x better than it ever did with the other plugs I've tried.
