Just curious when everyone's school starts? I've lived a few different places and it seems to vary.
In the Northwest, we always started in early September and went to mid June. I think they changed that up a bit, giving a longer mid-winter break and a shorter summer, but it's pretty much the same.
In Texas, they start the last week of August (when it's still 100F+) and they get out early, like the last week of May.
In SoCal, I stated with some family about 15 years ago that was just starting year-round school. The kids went 2 weeks on, then 1 week off. Two weeks off around the holidays and 1 month off in the summer.
I know a lot of homeschoolers and private schoolers. One of the benefits of that tye of system is a more flexible schedule. The government run schools get cash for each and every day that kids are in the seat, so they've come up with laws/rules to keep keeps in the class...that's not how the real world works though.
Anyhow, what's it like for you. Where do you live and what type of school?
