I've never heard of it? Welcome to GMTC.
As far as oil additives go most of them are pure snake oil. :)

not sure what it is exactly either, but most of us on here will tell you there's not much that can't be fixed on your motor that doesn't involve the use of Sea Foam. the only thing seafoam won't help is a motor that is just plain worn out.
sea foam, Mobil 1 and Lucas are all titles you'll see and hear a lot on this forum. there are others too, but those 3 are the key ones that appear quite often.

Hi guys! Before I could read the replies I already pour a bottle of auto-rx after an oil change. After reading the replies and after about 2500 km. I immediately change the oil being unsure of its effect on the engine. I was stunned when the old oil i collected in a bucket was so dark and dirty. I don't know if auto-rx indeed cleaned the engine or it may have chemically reacted with the oil. I really hope it cleaned the engine. i'll try to post a picture of the old oil.

you can safely pour seafoam in the inside of the motor too so that you can clean that as well half a can you can leave in there till the next oil change , if you want to run a whole can in it pour it in a day or two before you change your oil to give it plenty of time to work and do it's thing. works great on my vehicles that way, just changed out the oil pump screen on my 89 silverado and it was really clean inside almost new looking thanks to sea foam and mobil 1 oil i am sure.

Never heard of it. I do use Sea Foam on occasion. Hell back in the day I used a mixture of transmission fluid and water to clean out the carbon in my muscle cars motors. Work great. :great:

YEP trans fluid worked really good pour down the ole muscle motor throat and you could hear the carbon going out the exhaust! Not sure if I would try it now.
