Lately when I start my hoe it seems like the engine stutters. It stops after the engine warms up. But it seems like the longer it sits or the colder it is outside the worse it is. I was told it may be the plugs but I replaced both plugs and wires and have seen no change. Any ideas???

i think my 99 2wd is doing the same thing. just started a couple days ago... my first reaction was that it was the tranny acting up as it seems to only happen just out of park (ie: 1st and Rev) im not sure if it continues after the engine warmed up or not... will check shortly

sounds like a intake gasket problem, my truck did the same thing in the winter
when its cold turn it on and spray some carb cleaner around the intake gasket sealing area and listen for changes in RPM if it jumps then you found your problem and they are cake to do

Well I do have that problem my service engine light came on. I had it diagnosed and it said I was running too lean meaning I had a vacuum leak. I sprayed some brake cleaner around the gasket and the RPMs did change but that only happened recently and I thought it was because I had taken the throttle off to install a spacer that didnt fit. But this problem has been occurring even before I took the throttle off. Maybe the problem was there before I meddled with it. Ill take it off, reseal it, and Ill let you know. Thanks for the info...

just to be clear im talking about the intake manifold gasket not the throttle body gasket

doesnt seem to matter if my engine is hot or cold... i will try the manifold gasket trick.
