I was trying to remember how long ago it was that the Tahoe came on the market.

I think it was around 1995, is that right? 8)

Yeah, you used to have to go out and buy a full suburban if you wanted the functionality of an enclosed rig but bigger than the full sized blazer.

Well, it kinda depends on what you mean by "Tahoe". There used to be a "Tahoe" package befor they essentially made the full-size Blazer into what we now know as the Tahoe. For instance, you could buy an S-10 Tahoe in 94 and I think a couple years previous to that. But 95 was the first year for the full-size one yes....

It's funny, because the Tahoe outsells the Suburban now and has outsold it for a few years.

I bought mine because I didn't want one that was as long as the Suburban. But a few weeks after I bought it, i found out that I would rather have had the 8-foot bed instead of the 6. Go for the Gold as they say.

Myself, I don't have any need for the 8 foot bed. In fact, my Trailblazer is all that I need for now. Works good for me.
