This past weekend I had a chance to go out to Norwalk Raceway, which as always is an awesome time! Here are some pictures of the cars and trucks that were there, and a few of the track and grandstands as well.

1953 Chevy truck

1955 Chevy Bel-Air with a version of a true California Sunset paint job. (Old school) 4" chop all the way around.

A pair of AA/A alcohol rail cars, both were running 5.67 and 5.83 all day.

This is a picture of the grandstands at about 10:00 in the morning, as you can see the sky looked real bad but despite that it NEVER rained all day! We got so lucky but it was only 60 degrees out, so the cars had a hard time staying on the track so there was a lot of feathering going on.

Although it's a Ford this is my absolute favorite car, this was an All-Steel 1941 Willy's Coupe with a 540 c.i. Merlin motor. It was the only all steel one there, and there probably 40 other fiberglass replicas, but nothing beats the original! This is at least a $200,000 car realistically, otherwise I would have had one a long time ago.

I have been to several hundred car shows in the last 10 years, and this was a truly unique car to see. Snap On had there own 57' 2 door Nomad wagon on display, every piece of factory chrome was replaced with chrome crescent wrenches which was very unique! And the underbody had large crescent wrenches as a full body skid plate, it was also complete with a GMPP 572 BBC which they had tuned to run 1,000 horsepower.

This was a 1996 Silverado with 13,000 original miles, and it was absolutely perfect!

This was a gorgeous 1970 Nova, which the owner dumped probably $80,000 into in which he will never get it out sadly.
