I've had a couple F/S Pre-Runners over the years (had a Toyota Pre-Runnner back in the mid 80's after I got tired of scraping the ground with it) and when done right they not only look good but run as good if not better in some situations than 4X4's. I even saw a F/S Chevy Pre-Runner up in Moab a few years ago climbing Lions back with the big boys, took a little more winch than the others to get there but he made the top.
Almost every Pre-Runner you see is the base color with white fiberglass fenders/hood, I think they look much better with a finished paint job tho.
The Build would be a great time to learn/expand any fab skills you have like welding, tube bending, and designing.

i might take some of his ideas, like he has the original bed side on his, i might do that, and thats about it, i might also do his rear suspension setup. but that would be about it, i might go a different color though
