I noticed the other day that when i got out of my truck and my lights were on it didnt ding to remind me that i left my lights on. How do i fix it? Its always done it before and now suddenly it doesnt do it.

The brain for the dinging is in the stock radio and when you upgraded your deck the dinging stopped. Theres something on crutchfield that you can wire up to make the ding but i've heard its overly loud. Hold on a second and i'll get you a link.

I believe on the 99-02 trucks, the chime is separate from the radio - it is on mine anyway. I didn't have it for a long time and thought it was because of my aftermarket radio. IT turned out to be a fuse on the interior driver side fuse panel. The fuse is labelled 'INT PRK' or something like that. Chech that fuse first - its a cheap and easy fix. hope this helps.

hmm strange i could have sworn its worked with the new radio. I thought i read that if the new wiring harness wasnt hooked up right that could make the ding stop but i dont think thats the problem(and i dont feel like ripping the radio out again)

when that happened with mine my radio didnt work either.it picked up all the regular stations and worked fine just nothing came out of the speakers.it was the stock radio and all my fuses were good..it fixed itself somehow and hasnt done it since.
