I agree. Had the chance to drive through the area on a trip back from Kansas. I helped a friend move to Kansas, so I took the family along and we took the scenic route home. The kids loved the tour of the Ouray mine. Some really pretty country. After Durango, we detoured off the beaten path to visit Four Corners. We made it a point to eat at local restaurants, avoiding the national chains. We stopped at an abandoned trading post and that's where my kids discovered aluminum can pull tabs. The ground was littered with them. They laughed when I told them how I used to collect them to make a curtain to hang in my doorway. A memorable trip. :glasses:
