We almost should do a poll, but I think that most of the folks on this board are from the south. :-)

Canyon Lake is between San Antonio & Austin on SH 306 between SH 280 & I35. Close to New Braunfels. Come on down! (sorry it took so long to get back to you)

I come down to that area when I get a chance. I have a deer lease between Llano and Mason. Beautiful countryside.

Not a true Southerner as I've only been here 9 years (due to a job relocation) from New Hampshire.
I miss the ocean and lobsters, but don't miss the snow and ice issues!

I live outside of Memphis now and have somewhat adjusted to the hot and humid weather down here.

I once heard a comedian say that the difference between the north and the south, is that in the north there is a cutoff age for sleeping with your parents.
That's just what I heard.

Welcome. That's why I started this forum. I found self-help tips that I would have never dreamed of on former work vehicles like a bad solder joint on a certain range of years of one model ... etc.

"It's not the heat it's the humidity" applies everywhere. sorry.

We just have a whole lot less heat than you, but the humidity still sucks!

I'm in Sweet Home Alabama...Huntsville to be exact. Its about 10 miles south of the Tennessee state line. I'm actually about 3 1/2 hours from Millington. We go there every year for the Relaxed Atmosphere All Star Car Show in September...and we'll be there again this year.
